Conference Schedule
The Latin America Laboratory Biosafety and Biosecurity Conference will be held from Tuesday, May 13 to Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the JW Marriott in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The scientific program featured three full days of presentations by internationally recognized experts and scientists from throughout Latin America. Talks were held from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm each day, with coffee breaks and lunch provided for participants at the conference venue. The opening reception was Tuesday evening. Scientists that work with both human and animal diseases had the opportunity to discuss laboratory biosafety and biosecurity policies and practices and learn how they are implemented throughout Latin America.
